Carlos Moyà and Toni Nadal continue their informal analysis of the main shots in tennis. This time, they’re focussing on the service.
“On the grass courts it is a bit different because of the irregular bounce of the ball,” says Toni, “it's not like on clay, where it's almost better to throw out a kick serve,” adds Carlos, whose serve has always been one of his best shots.
The difference is all in the throw, which must be done by tilting the trajectory to the right, unlike the classic serve. “This allows for an easier entry for the cutting shot.”
